How did you become involved with Wild Ride?

We were introduced to Bonorong’s 24/7 Wildlife Rescue by a blossom-hungry pademelon in our garden, whom we came to know and love as Pudding. When Pudding went missing, returning days later with an open leg fracture, we were heartbroken to imagine the agonising decline our wild friend would face from such an injury. We turned to Bonorong to guide us through containing and transporting Pudding to hospital. We became trained rescuers and committed supporters of Bonorong from that point and never looked back.

Since that time, we have relied upon the expert advice of the Rescue Line and Critical Care Team to help us care for the wildlife on our rural property. Our experience with Rescue has given us the confidence to respond to animals in distress and has made us more aware of our own activities and care of habitat. Knowing that a wild animal, who would otherwise suffer terribly from sickness or injury, is being transported to a waiting hospital team and rehabilitation is an awesome feeling.

Wild Ride will help provide critical funds to ensure the ongoing operation of these vital services. On behalf of the Project Team, it is with both pleasure and excitement that I introduce you to Bonorong’s new annual fundraiser.
